Is anybody else as disappointed in E3 as me?
My description of E3 2010 in brief:
Microsoft wants to be Nintendo, but doesn't understand that making an ugly Alienware knockoff case is not the way to do it.
Sony thinks everybody has 5 grand to drop on a 3D TV.
Nintendo wants to play it safe with no real new IPs of which only a handful look promising.
To delve in deeper to Nintendo
- I don't want to have to stand up for 40 hours swinging widely with the new Zelda 1:1 motion controls.
- 3DS and the new Kirby game look awesome, how about some details for price and launch window.
- Don't call it GoldenEye when it doesn't only lack Brosnan, but isn't even the same freaking game. You have a lot to prove with this game by titling it that and I have a hard time believing it will be as good as
GoldenEye: Source.
Just about the only awesome thing to really come out of this E3 is the knowledge that not only does Miyamoto seem to understand the complex social rules for human mating rituals, he can also talk to animals.
So you know, cats are interesting. They are kind of like girls. If they come and talk to you, it's great. But if you try to talk to them, it doesn't always go so well.
